Q: Who has access to NU Student Enterprise Systems?
A: Access to the Northwestern University Student Enterprise Systems will only be granted to current Northwestern faculty or staff in a permanent position with legitimate University business reasons to access student related information.
Q: If I change jobs within the University, do I need to submit new security access forms for the Student Enterprise System?
A: When an employee transfers from one department to another, new form(s) must be submitted to obtain the appropriate security access associated with the new position.
Q: I have forgotten my Student Enterprise System password. Whom should I contact?
A: If you are a Staff member and you login to SES/CAESAR with an administrative ID like this ABCDE0, please call (847) 467-5721.
Q: I am a Mac user and I'm having problems using the student system. What can I do?
A: Use one of the recommended browsers certified by the vendor. A list of supported browsers can be found on the web here.
Q: I am using Safari, Mozilla, or Firefox to access the student system and I am experiencing problems. What should I do?
A: Check here for a list of browsers that work best with the student system.
Q: I am a Mac user, and I want to run/access Crystal Reports
A: Mac OS is not a currently supported platform for running Crystal Reports. Click here for additional options.
Q: I cannot remember my NETID password, or it has expired. Whom should I contact?
A: Click here to see the options for having your NetID password reset. If you still have questions, please call (847) 491-HELP and choose Option 1.
Q: How do I gain access to Crystal Reports?
A: You will need to submit a system access form to the appropriate data custodian, who will review the request and determine if the access will be granted. If you are a new user, you can include your request on your initial system access form. Otherwise, you will need to submit another form to the appropriate office, as listed on the bottom of the form. The form can be found here.
Q: How do I request that a Crystal Report be developed for my group or department?
A: First and foremost, you should review the reports currently deployed to determine if there is something already written that will suit your needs. If you have any questions about how to access Crystal Reports or what types of reports are available, contact us via the NUIT Support Center. Once you have examined all of the Crystal Reports that are available and have decided that you need something developed specifically for your group or department, please click here.
Q: I have a question about Financial Aid Awards, specifically External Awards. Where do I go for assistance with this process?
A: The Graduate School Financial Aid Office provides this support directly and is staffed and prepared to assist you. If you have usage questions or if you are interested in training opportunities, please email tgs-fa@northwestern.edu and one of the TGS staff members will contact you.
