CAESAR Guest Center

Guest access will allow you to view the areas of your student's record for which your student has authorized you, including the eBill/ePay (tuition invoice) and 9PAY sections of QuikPAY.
Getting access
To access CAESAR:
- Guest setup: A Northwestern University student must set you up as an authorized guest.
- ID: Your guest ID will come to you by email.
- Password: You will get your password from the person who created your access.
- Log in: Once you have your ID and password, open an Internet browser (see list of supported browsers).
- Go to http://www.northwestern.edu/caesar.
- Enter your guest ID and password in the “Login to CAESAR” area (“NetID” = GuestID). Click “Login.”
Only the student who set up your access can add additional content or services.
ID
- Don't know your guest ID? Your ID was sent to you by email, and is displayed on both student "Guest Access" and guest "Guest Center" pages in CAESAR.
- You student can provide your GuestID.
- You may request your GuestID online by providing the email address on file for the GuestID.
Password
- Forgot your password, or can't log in? Your student may reset your password for you.
- You may also reset your password online with the following information: GuestID, email address on file for GuestID, student's date of birth, last four digits of student's U.S. Social Security Number.
- Note that passwords are case-sensitive. Please clear your browser cache before using a new password.
- Northwestern University staff are not able to see or reset guest passwords; please contact your student.
Authorization phrase
- Your authorization phrase authorizes you to speak with University staff in certain areas (Financial Aid and Student Accounts) about your student's record.
- The authorization phrase is displayed on both student "Guest Access" and guest "Guest Center" pages in CAESAR.

Areas authorized
In compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) requirements, students control the areas of their record that guests are authorized to view. A student may add or remove authorized areas at any time.

Pop-up windows
Allow pop-ups: You will need to set your browser to allow pop-up windows in order to view a number of pages in the Guest Center.
Macintosh computers or the Chrome browser
“Loading” screen: People using Macintosh computers or the Chrome browser may find a “loading” screen upon login. Clicking on “Guest Center” on the left menu will bypass this screen.
CAESAR Guest Center for Parents and Others with QuikPAY (R) accounts
Parents and other individuals authorized by a student to make tuition payments on the student's behalf will access QuikPAY(R) - both e-Bill/e-Payment and 9PAY - via the CAESAR Guest Center.
Students may also choose to authorize other areas of their record for guests (including Financial Aid and certain biographical data).
Accessing Your 9PAY Account: Your Guest Center login information will come to you from the Office of Student Accounts by March 1, 2011. If you have not received your information please contact your student.

Trouble logging into or using the Guest Center?
- I can’t log in. (I don’t have my GuestID, I’m getting Oracle page error, I’m returning to the login screen repeatedly) – Check that your browser is approved. If it is, clear your cache and close/re-open your browser. If you still have problems contact your student for further information or a password reset.
- I don’t remember my password OR my password is not working. – Contact your student for a password reset. Your password is case-sensitive. You may also reset your password online with the following information: GuestID, email address on file for GuestID, student's date of birth, last four digits of student's U.S. Social Security Number.
- I can't see new areas added. My student just added new areas of access but I can’t see/click the links. – Log out of CAESAR and log back in. If the links still don’t work try clearing your cache and closing/re-opening your browser before logging back in.
- I used to have access to areas that I don't see anymore – Contact your student.
- I’m logged in and clicking on a link but no page is coming up – The Guest Center uses pop-up windows for some links. Please ensure pop-ups are enabled for the CAESAR website.
- Macintosh or Chrome users “Loading” screen -- Some guests may see a “loading” screen upon login. Clicking on “Guest Center” on the left menu will bypass this screen.
